Bemidji's Leif finishes year with .450 average

Leif helped lead Lumberjacks' offense to state tournament

The 2011 Bemidji High School baseball season culminated with a trip to the state Class 3A tournament and helping the Lumberjacks make it to St. Paul was an offense which compiled a .315 team batting average.

Leading the way was Collin Leif who ripped 45 hits in 100 official at-bats and posted a .450 average.

Bemidji’s lineup featured six players with averages above .300. Leadoff batter Mitchell Hendricks finished with a .373 average and not far behind were Zach Solheim at 368, Tyler Follis at .357, Cody Rutledge at .337 and Cody Jenkins at .326.
