Bluejackets end Tornadoes rally for 10-9 win

Anoka didn’t go down without a fight.

Entering the seventh inning trailing 8-5, the Tornadoes rallied to score four runs and take a 9-8 lead into the bottom of the seventh.

However, Cambridge-Isanti answered with two runs, earning a wild 10-9 victory in the opening round of the Class 3A, Section 7 tournament.

Catcher Ryan Epsen hit an RBI single to tie the score with one out. Senior Mike Henderscheid followed with a walk, and on an 0-2 pitch, shortstop Ryan Miller lined a single to center, plating Epsen and moving Cambridge-Isanti into the quarterfinals.
