CLASS 3A

• SECTION 2: The No. 2 seeds are having a tough time in the section playoffs. Chanhassen used a four-run fourth to upset Minnetonka 9-5 in the quarterfinals. Junior Brandon Arnold went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI to pace the Storm offense. Earlier in the day, Chanhassen topped New Prague 7-1 in the quarterfinals.

• SECTION 6: Junior Andrew Favaro came through in two tough situations, on the mound and at the plate, for Armstrong in its 5-4 victory over Holy Angels in 10 innings in the quarterfinals. Favaro threw five innings of relief to pick up the victory, and also delivered a run-scoring single to score Ryan Hassler from second base with one out in the bottom of the 10th, giving the Falcons the victory.
