East Ridge's Luebbe one-hits Woodbury


• SECTION 4: Senior Mitch Luebbe threw a one-hitter while striking out 15, leading East Ridge past Woodbury 6-0 in the first round on Thursday. Junior David Lang belted a two-run homer for the Raptors.

• SECTION 5: Junior third baseman Nick Malvin hit a two-run homer, and senior Nolan Wahlberg picked up his fourth victory of the year as Blaine topped Champlin Park 9-4 in the opening round. Junior shortstop Tanner Schumacher also drove in two runs for Blaine.

SECTION 6: Senior first baseman Maris Blanchard hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to score Jake Steinbach with the winning run as Wayzata outlasted St. Louis Park 3-2 in the first round. Winning pitcher senior Paul Voelker struck out 16 while going the distance. … Senior pitcher Travis Ullman threw a two-hitter as Minneapolis Southwest edged Richfield 2-1 in eight innings. In the top of the eighth inning, the Lakers took advantage of a stolen base and two Spartans errors to score the winning run. ... Arich Juberian hit a two-run homer and Zach Horn went 3-for-3 as Bloomington Kennedy cruised past Minneapolis South 8-1.
