Yellowjackets looking for first state tournament berth since 2006

Given the way this year has gone it’s possible Hans Hanson will make that trip to Minneapolis after all.

The Perham coach has been to the Minnesota state baseball tournament five times in 13 seasons. He just hasn’t been there since 2006. Following an 11-game winning streak, which ended May 21, there’s a feeling around town that maybe the Yellowjackets could return to state.

Especially when they win games in dramatic fashion like they did Friday when David Alstadt slugged the game-winning two-run double in the bottom of the seventh in a 4-3 win over Frazee.
