Red Knights rally for win

BENILDE-ST. MARGARET’S 7, IRONDALE 6: Junior Scott Quinby and sophomore Grant Besse delivered back-to-back, pinch-hit singles in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring the tying and go-ahead runs as the Red Knights rallied to beat the Knights in the North Suburban. Irondale scored all six of its runs on home runs, a  three-run shot by senior Joe Norton, a two-run blast by junior Ryan Schwartz and solo shot by senior Lucas Marcroft in the top of the sixth to give the Knights a 6-5 lead. Sophomore Spencer Shaver had a three-run homer for the Red Knights.

BUFFALO 15, BIG LAKE 14: In a game the Bison needed to stay alone atop the Mississippi 8, junior left fielder Nick Mattson delivered a one-out, walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Buffalo a wild victory over the Hornets. Mattson had two sacrifice flies earlier in the game.

ROGERS 9, CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI 8: Senior Noah Schmidt singled home the winning run in the bottom of the eighth, lifting the Royals over the Bluejackets in the Mississippi 8. Cambridge-Isanti, which built an early 5-0 lead, tied it at 8 in the seventh inning.
