Elk River plated two runs in each of the first two innings to stake starting pitching T. Hadden to an early four run lead. With the score at 5-0 in the sixth, the Pirates used a two-run double by Austin Becker to close the gap to three. But the Elks scored three more insurance runs on a sixth inning Krick double to keep the Green-and-Gold on their heels and secure the victory for ER.

The Pirates return home to face the Centennial Cougars this Thursday. Jordan Stroh takes the mound for PC as the Pirates continue a stretch of four games in six days to end the regular season.
