Highland's Paulson one-hits St. Paul Johnson

ST. PAUL HIGHLAND PARK 2, ST. PAUL JOHNSON 1: Great Scot! Tommy Paulson pitched a complete-game one-hitter, striking out 10, for the St. Paul City Conference-leading Scots in their victory over the Governors on Tuesday. Sophomore Sam Elliott went 3-for-4 with a double and scored  the game-winning run on Pat Kratch’s bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh inning.

ST. THOMAS ACADEMY 4, HILL-MURRAY 3: With the score tied 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ryan McManus reached first base on a fielder’s choice, stole second and scored on a two-out single by A.J. Reid as the Cadets handed the Pioneers their first loss of the season.

CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI 4, BIG LAKE 3: Senior catcher Nick Johnson ripped a triple to the right-center field fence with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, scoring Clayton Jennison with the winning run as the Bluejackets edged the Hornets in the Mississippi 8. Jennison singled with two outs in the frame. Winning pitcher Cole Bakke ran his record to 6-0 on the season.

RICHFIELD 4, SOUTH ST. PAUL 3: P.J. Peterson capped off a 3-for-3 afternoon with a one-out, bases-loaded, walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring Dan Beyel from third to lift the Spartans over the Packers in the Classic Suburban.

WHITE BEAR LAKE 7, NORTH ST. PAUL 6: Senior Brett Schlosser hit two home runs and had four RBI as the Bears beat the Polars in nonconference play.
