• MAPLE GROVE 4, ANOKA 3: The offensive fireworks that the Crimson have displayed is rubbing off on their entire roster. Junior catcher Shay Torgerson, making his first varsity start of the season, hit a walk-off solo home run with one out in the bottom of seventh inning as the Crimson remained unbeaten with a victory over the Tornadoes in the Northwest Suburban Conference on Monday. The Class 3A, No. 9 Crimson are 11-0 on the season.
• ANDOVER 17, PARK CENTER 5: Juniors Patrick O’Donnell and Davis Johnson combined for nine hits and seven RBI, leading the Huskies past the Pirates in the Northwest Suburban. O’Donnell went 5-for-5, including two doubles and a triple, with three RBI while Johnson went 4-for-5, including two doubles, with four RBI.
• CENTENNIAL 12, CHAMPLIN PARK 2: The senior trio of Adam LaMere, Derek Haugen and Josh Matheson each hit two home runs as the Cougars routed the Rebels in the Northwest Suburban.
• HASTINGS 1, WHITE BEAR LAKE 0: David Schoeberl pitched a complete game shut out, throwing a three-hitter as the Raiders edged the Bears in 10 innings in the Suburban East. Nick Huemoeller led off the 10th with a double and eventually scored on Austin Nelson’s sacrifice fly.
• IRONDALE 2, CHISAGO LAKES 0: Senior Aaron Starr threw a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out eight in the Knights’ win over the Wildcats in the North Suburban.
• ST. PAUL COMO PARK 7, ST. PAUL HARDING 0: Senior Mike Brant hit a grand slam and junior Brandon Langer threw a complete game shutout, striking out six, as the Cougars beat the Knights in the St. Paul City.
• TOTINO-GRACE 6, BENILDE-ST. MARGARET’S 2: Ben Meyer threw a three-hitter and hit a solo home run, leading the Eagles past the Red Knights in the North Suburban.
