One streak ends, but Osseo takes victory in seven.

Jordan Stroh took the mound for Park Center versus district rival Osseo this Thursday, giving up a lead-off home run to Alex Eernisse in the first, and two more Oriole runs in the second inning, but holding the Orange-and-Black Nine to one additional run over the next five innings. The Pirates answered the first inning run with a run of their own and eventually scratched out seven hits, but could not find another run and lost 4-1.

Jordan's start was his first of the year on the hill. He struck out one, walked two, and pitched an eight-hit complete game. Caleb Selin led the way at the plate, going 2 for 4. Jordan Stroh, Jake Schultz, Matt Hanson (rbi), Tyler Stroh, and Connor Green each had hits on the day as well. The Pirates played error-free ball and broke their streak of 10-run losses, while also starting their next streak - of seven or more hits in a game - now at two in a row.

Eernisse led the way for the Orioles, going 2 for 3 with his HR and a single. Gangstad added a triple for Osseo, and Tyler Stromback got the win on the mound, pitching into the sixth inning before giving way to Ben Johnson - who got the save.
