Glencoe-Silver Lake pitcher tosses one-hit gem

GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE 4, LITCHFIELD 0: A bloop single in the third inning is all the Dragons could muster against junior Adam Prehn, who struck out 11 in a dominant one-hit shutout for the Panthers on Thursday in the Wright County Conference. Prehn added a two-run double at the plate to lead the offense.

LESTER PRAIRIE/HOLY TRINITY 10, SOUTHWEST CHRISTIAN 0: Though the Bulldogs are off to a shaky start at 3-7, junior Garrett Schultz provided an impressive performance by firing a no-hitter against the Stars in the shortened Minnesota Christian Athletic Association game due to the 10-run rule.

TOTINO-GRACE 9, COLUMBIA HEIGHTS 0: Tyler Flakne and  Derek Lodermeier combined for a no-hitter as the Eagles shut out the Hylanders in the North Suburban. Flakne worked the first six innings while Lodermeier pitched the seventh. Mike Anderson hit a two-run homer for the Eagles.
