Austin Malinowski, the ace left-hander, who is considered one of the top pitchers in the state, threw a gem against the Pirates on Monday. Malinowski 1-hit Park Center, who couldn't bust out of their hitting slump against the big lefty, and the Cougars struck for 14 runs in the 10-run rule shortened game. The Pirates now sit at 1-7, while the Cougars improved to 5-4 on the season.
