Team returning six of nine starters from Class 1A championship squad

The 2010 season was a historic campaign for the Eden Valley-Watkins baseball team, which opened its season with a victory at the Metrodome and closed it by becoming the first high school team to be crowned a state champion at Target Field.

EV-W returns six of the nine starters from last year’s squad. However, those three holes are big spots to fill: The Eagles must replace Class A Player of the Year Tyler Geislinger, all-state second baseman Dan Sargent and All-Central Minnesota Conference center fielder Ryan Tri.
