April. 28: The Trojans and Skippers could prove their state-title credentials with a win in this Lake Conference contest.

Wayzata won its final eight games in 2018, culminating in the program's first-ever state championship.

That streak is still going. The Trojans have won their first four games this season, giving them a 12 game winning streak dating back to last season, and are ranked No. 4 in Class 4A in the Associated Press poll.

Looking to halt its rival and cement its top ranking, No. 1-4A Minnetonka ventures to Wayzata with four D1-commits returning from a team that split its 2016 season series with the state champs.

The Skippers are riding a three-game win streak of their own, rebounding from a 3-2 loss to Champlin Park on Apr. 8. Since the loss, Minnetonka has defeated Chanhassen (9-2), Chaska (5-1), and Eden Prairie (5-4), respectively.
