Entering the final full week of the Minnesota high school baseball regular season, plenty of conference races are in doubt.

For fans, it doesn’t get much better -- especially since the schedule makers have nailed their predictions of top contenders. That means most of the races will go down to a head-to-head battle between powerhouses, resulting in a slew of top games this week.

One of the most tightly contested races is in the Northwest Suburban Conference, where seven teams are within a game-and-a-half of first place with less than 10 days to go — from conference-leading Totino-Grace (8-2), Anoka (8-2) and Maple Grove (9-3) to seventh-place Blaine (8-5), the race is compressed and up for grabs. These teams will play multiple times over the final week, which should result in a great finish.

We’re tagging a meeting featuring two of those top teams to represent our final Top Game of the Week, as Anoka, ranked No. 10 in Class 3A in the Let’s Play Baseball poll, visits No. 4-3A Maple Grove Wednesday afternoon.
