Seniors Justin Arnold (9), Carter Schmidt (5) and Blake Tritch (7) and junior Luke Roskam (19) have helped Chaska earn the No. 4 ranking in Class 3A by Let's Play Baseball. The Hawks have a matchup with No. 7-3A Chanhassen in a Metro West Conference game
The Minnesota high school baseball season is starting to take shape as the final week of April arrives, which is an unusual statement in its own right considering the typical spring weather. Some seasons see a host of rainouts and postponements due to snow, but this dry and warm spring has allowed a nearly full slate of games to be played.
Two teams making their mark early this year are Chaska, ranked No. 4 in Class 3A by Let’s Play Baseball, and No. 7-3A Chanhassen. The neighboring schools have combined to win 15 of their 16 games, and as rivals in both the Metro West Conference and Section 2, any head-to-head battle is sure to draw attention.
The first such meeting comes Monday in Chanhassen and is tabbed as our Game of the Week.
