BSM hurler tosses fifth complete game in six outings.

Mikey McGill's solo home run to lead off the fifth inning provided the Red Knights with an insurance run.

Michael Kaminski tossed a four-hitter and did not allow an earned run as Benilde-St. Margaret's overcame three early errors for a 4-2 win over St. Louis Park.

Three Red Knights errors led to a pair of unearned runs for the Orioles in the top of the third inning.

Kaminski was unfazed by the miscues. After having retired eight of the first nine batters he faced, we went on to retire 13 of SLP's final 15 batters. Besides the two runners, Joey Jaramillo and Joe Burnley, who scored, only one more runner would get into scoring position for the Orioles.

BSM, after having left the bases loaded in the first inning and two runners on in the third, finally got to SLP pitcher Jake Lukasavage in the fourth.

Chris Racchini led off the inning with a single to center field and, one out later, advanced to second when Chris Landis hit a ground ball to third base but Kenny Furuli's throw to second was off target and gave the Red Knights a pair of base runners.

Riley Crane, who was 1-for-17 on the season at that point, then drove a 1-0 pitch off the right field fence for a two-run triple and Sam Lynch followed by singling to right field to give BSM a 3-2 lead.

The home team then got an insurance run in the fifth inning when Mikey McGill led off the frame by sending a 2-0 fastball over the right field fence for his first home run of the season.

Kaminski threw 71 of his 95 pitches for strikes. He threw 26 pitches in the Orioles' third inning, 15 of which came after a two-out error extended the inning. He finished the game with four strikeouts while not walking a batter.

Offensively, Racchini and Keaton Studsrud each had two hits to lead the Red Knights, who got hits from seven of nine players in the lineup.

BSM will play it's final North Suburban Conference when it hosts Robbinsdale Cooper, Friday, on Senior Night beginning at 4:15 p.m.
