Unseeded BOLD does it again

Unseeded BOLD posted another upset victory in Friday’s Class 1A baseball state tournament semifinals, routing defending champion St. Agnes 12-4 at the Mini Met in Jordan.

Leading 4-2 after three innings, BOLD exploded for seven runs in the top of the fifth inning. The Warriors advance to their first-ever championship game at 10 a.m. on Monday at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis.

Tourney first-timer Osakis shuts out New York Mills

State tournament newcomer Osakis advances to its first state tournament championship game after defeating New York Mills 3-0 in the Class 1A semifinals Friday at the Mini Met in Jordan,

The Silverstreaks play BOLD at 10 a.m. on Monday at Target Field.

 New York Mills, playing in its third consecutive state tournament, managed just two hits through six innings.
