Shakopee senior Nick Larson is on the verge of wrapping up his career as a three-sport high school athlete.

Larson is a catcher on the baseball team. He also played football and basketball for the Sabers. Here is a closer look at Larson:

The best movie I’ve seen in the past year: “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are … “Till I Collapse” by Eminem; “Creepin’ ” by Eric Church; “Thrift Shop” by Mack lemore.

What are your three favorite apps? Google Navigator because I am horrible with directions; Subway Surfer; Flashlight because I am always losing stuff.

Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why? Probably 6th Grader because they have very sarcastic tweets and make fun of the word “swag.”

How did you get started in sports? I did a bunch of youth programs through the YMCA when I was little.

At my first varsity practice, I felt … confused. I was a little freshman and didn’t know anyone or where to go.

What did you work on most prior to your senior season? Getting faster.

To get focused for a game, I … listen to music and think about what I have to do in order to succeed.

What is your favorite pregame meal? Spaghetti the night before a game.

I know I have an edge on an opponent when … I know what they are going to do next. Whether it is through a scouting report or through reps in practice, knowing what my opponent is going to do gives me an edge.

Who is your school’s biggest rival, and why? Prior Lake because they are very close and always competitive in every sport.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? Scoring three touchdowns in a come-from-behind victory [32-29 over Northfield in a Missota Conference matchup] on homecoming.

How do you balance school and sports during the year? I go to practice, eat dinner and then do my homework. I don’t really have time to watch TV or play video games.

If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be? Let the students get into sporting events for free.

When you have time off during vacation, what do you like to do? I spend a lot of my free time ‘‘frolfing’’ at the Frisbee golf course.

Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? Vikings. Adrian Peterson. Enough said.

Do you have a secret talent —and if so, what is it? I am a skilled belly dancer.

In 10 years, I hope I’m … out of my parents’ basement and making money.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? Have fun!
