When Bob Karn heard he had been inducted into the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame, he thought about playing catch with his father.
His father, Frank, worked as an engineer at the St. Cloud Hospital and played town-team baseball. His son has a picture of him from 1927 playing for St. Joseph in the Great Soo League.
Karn is one six new inductees into the hall of fame, which is located on the second floor of the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud. He and the rest of the 2012 induction class will be honored with a banquet Sept. 15.
