Fire move to finals on Ralstons bat, Knolls defense.

Game Recap

Fairmont would not go quietly in this matchup against Holy Family Catholic. Down three in the final frame, they would load the bases with two outs before Connor Herd induced an infield popup from #3 Fairmont hitter Levi Becker. Final score Holy Family Catholic 3, Fairmont 0.

Kasey Ralston would hit a big two-run opposite field home run for the Fire in the top of the first. They would later add an insurance run in the top of the seventh.

Holy Family will play the winner of the St. Cloud Cathedral versus Proctor semifinal game at Target Field on Monday at 3:00 p.m.

Three Stars

1. Rollie Lacy, Holy Family Catholic
While not a dominant performance, the outcome is what mattered. Lacy pitched around base runners all afternoon. He finished with five scoreless innings and three strikeouts.

2. Kasey Ralston, Holy Family Catholic
With one swing of the bat, Ralston put his team on top for good. In the top of the first, with a man on second, Ralston sent the pitch over the right field ivy covered fence.

3. Keller Knoll, Holy Family Catholic
While he provided the offense in the quarterfinals, it was his arm that carried his team in this one. Picking two runners off of second base, normally a difficult task to do once was only part of what Knoll did. He also threw out one other would be base stealer and kept the Fairmont running game in check throughout.
