Grand Rapids batted around in the fifth and sixth innings to break open the game en route to a 10-1 victory over Totino-Grace in the Class 3A baseball quarterfinals at Dunning Field in St. Paul.
Catcher Jake Bischoff was 4-for-5 with four RBI to lead the offensive onslaught. The Thunderhawks (20-6) had 16 hits in the game.
Totino-Grace (16-8-1) struck first with a run in the bottom of the first, but had just two hits the rest of the game.
Grand Rapids pitcher Grant Carlisle struck out seven and went 3 for 4 with three RBI at the plate.

1. Jake Bischoff, Grand Rapids
Bischoff led the way offensively for the Thunderhawks, collecting four hits in five plate appearances, scoring two and driving in four. He was stellar behind the plate, helping limit Totino to only four hits and one run.
2. Grant Carlisle, Grand Rapids
The Thunderhawks ace shut down Totino-Grace in a complete game effort. The righty threw 121 pitches, maintaining his velocity into the 7th inning and moving his record to 8-1. He scattered four hits while only allowing one first-inning run. He also went 3-4 at the plate, tallying two RBIs and scoring a run.
3. Hunter Shepard, Grand Rapids
The first basemen made two tremendous picks, including an impressive full extension on the final out. He was very aggressive at the plate, going 2-4 at the plate and knocked in three of the Thunderhakws ten runs.
