SLP moves to within half game of NSC leaders

St. Louis Park scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back, cruising to an 8-3 win at Benilde-St. Margaret's.

The win moved the Orioles to within a half game of the North Suburban Conference-leading Red Knights and the visitors made their hosts pay for their miscues.

In all, the Orioles scored five uneared runs on three BSM errors and the Red Knights were unable get their offense going in the game.

One of the few Red Knight highlights was the pitching of Mike McGill, who pitched a scoreless seventh inning in hsi varsity mound debut.
