All-tournament teams revealed for 2023

Max Alrich's complete game shutout in the Class 4A state championship catipulted the East Ridge pitcher to the 2023 all-tournament team, announced by the Minnesota State High School League last week. 

Alrich, who allowed just two hits and struck out seven batters in seven innings, was one of three East Ridge players named to the squad. Rosemount added three players as well to the Class 4A team. 

New Prague's state championship winning team had four players named to the Class 3A all-tournament team, led by Nolan Eischens. Eischens cracked a double and totaled three RBIs in the state title game against Mahtomedi. The Zephyrs had three players of its own named to the list. 

Esko had a team-high three selections out of Class 2A, while two players were named from Fairmont and Perham. 

Four players from Fosston led all teams from Class 1A. Lyle/Pacelli had two selections.
