And the winner is...MN Baseball Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from April 25-30.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Baseball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Sam Kennedy, North St. Paul. The senior pitched six scoreless innings on April 28, giving up three hits and two walks while recording 13 strikeouts on 100 pitches. Kennedy also reached base three times, hitting a single, taking a walk, and getting hit by a pitch as he contributed one RBI in the Polars' 7-0 defeat of Hill-Murray.

Top performer candidates

Conner Connell, Luverne. The sophomore made a big impact for the Cardinals in a game that saw 24 total runs scored on April 28. Connell knocked in five runs on two home runs in the 13-11 win at Worthington. He made it on the bases a third time after getting hit by pitch, and he later stole a base.

Aiden Hansen, Maple Grove. The senior pitcher tossed 62 strikes and 83 total pitches in the Crimson’s 6-0 victory at Rogers on April 29. Hansen gave up three hits and no walks while striking out seven batters.

Paulie Nathanson, Blake. Nathanson was perfect at the plate in the Bears’ 8-6 victory against Mounds Park Academy on April 27. He went 3-for-3 with a single and two doubles, tallying five RBIs to lead the Bears’ hitting.

Josh Ortiz, Concordia Academy. The junior pitched six innings in the Beacons’ 6-2 victory at Robbinsdale Cooper on April 28. He allowed one unearned run on one hit, issued two walks, and recorded 12 strikeouts.
