And the winner is...MN Baseball Hub Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from April 18-23.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Baseball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Evan Saunders, St. Michael-Albertville. Saunders accounted for nearly all of the Knights’ runs in their 7-3 win against Bemidji on April 19. The infielder recorded six RBIs in the game’s first four innings, hitting a double, a home run and a sacrifice fly to help the Knights to a lead that Bemidji couldn't overcome.

Top performer candidates

TJ Egan, Eastview. The senior pitched five scoreless innings in the Lightning’s 1-0 victory against Lakeville South on April 21. Egan allowed just two hits while striking out 12 batters.

Josh Kirchhoff, Concordia Academy. The Beacons shut down St. Croix Lutheran’s offense in their first outing of the season as they won 11-0 on April 18. Kirchhoff was on the mound for six innings, racking up 17 strikeouts and allowing just one hit and two walks. Kirchhoff also led the Beacons at the plate, recording three RBIs on one hit and a sacrifice fly.

Jamie Mennicke, Minneapolis Washburn. The junior infielder recorded a team-high five RBIs in the Millers’ 15-5 victory against Minneapolis Roosevelt on April 19. Mennicke went 2-for-3, hitting two doubles and stealing two bases to lead the Millers’ offense.

Kyle Quesenberry, Springfield. The senior pitcher took to the mound in the first of two wins against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on April 21. Quesenberry pitched seven innings, allowing one unearned run on three hits. He struck out 18 batters and tossed 88 pitches.
