And the winner is...MN Baseball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Baseball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Daniel Biancamano, Eagan. The senior pitcher made an April 21 outing easy on the Wildcat offense, allowing a single fifth-inning run to stand as the game-winner. Biancamano pitched seven scoreless innings, gave up three hits and didn't allow a walk as he struck out seven batters. The Wildcats (6-2, 5-2) defeated Shakopee 1-0.

Top performer candidates

Nick Argento, Wayzata. The senior played an integral part in two Trojan (6-0, 1-0) wins last week — one at the plate and one on the mound. In a 13-2 victory against Chanhassen on April 19, Argento went 2-for-2, hitting a double and a home run. He drew two walks, scored three runs and recorded five RBIs. On April 23, the righthander pitched six innings during a 4-1 victory against Minnetonka. He allowed one unearned run on three hits and tallied nine strikeouts.

Drew Boyum, St. Louis Park.  The senior led the Orioles’ 5-1 victory at Chaska on April 20, tallying four RBIs on two hits. Boyum recorded a single, a double and a walk in four plate appearances for St. Louis Park (3-4, 2-3).

Austin Lang, Anoka. The junior guided the Tornadoes’ 12-2 defeat of Rochester Century on April 24, recording a game-high three RBIs on two hits. Lang pitched five innings to earn the win for Anoka (3-3, 0-3), allowing two runs — just one earned — on two hits and one walk. He recorded 12 strikeouts.

Ben North, East Ridge. The senior pitched six scoreless innings in the Raptors’ 4-0 win at Mounds View on April 23. North gave up one hit, walked three batters and struck out nine for East Ridge (3-4, 3-4).
