And the winner is...MN Baseball Hub Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Baseball Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Charlie Rubendall, DeLaSalle. On a night when the Islanders needed great pitching, the senior delivered: With his team producing just one run on offense, Rubendall pitched a perfect game and led DeLaSalle to a 1-0 win over St. Anthony Village. He tossed 71 pitches and tallied 10 strikeouts. 

Top performer candidates

Will Frisch, Stillwater. The senior pitcher earned his second win of the season on May 1, as he tossed a complete-game shutout. In the No. 1 Ponies' 4-0 victory over Roseville, Frisch gave up two hits and tallied a season-high 16 strikeouts in seven innings.

Carter Hanson, Bloomington Jefferson. The sophomore pitcher accounted for five RBI in the Jaguars' 10-8 win against Richfield on May 1. At the plate, Hanson went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored, and he pitched four innings — giving up three runs (two unearned) and recording four strikeouts. 

Nicolai Lohman, Bloomington Kennedy. The senior tallied three RBI in a 10-6 win against Robbinsdale Cooper on May 3, finishing the game 4-for-5 with a home run. Lohman stole two bases and scored three runs in the win. The next day, he pitched seven innings, striking out seven batters and giving up one run on six hits in a 13-1 win over St. Paul Highland Park. At the plate, he went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two RBI. 

Adam Mazur, Woodbury. Mazur has been impactful at the plate and on the mound this season, and last week was no different. The senior struck out 10 and gave up one unearned run in pitching eight innings of a 2-1 win against East Ridge on May 1. In an 8-6 win against Tartan three days later, Mazur went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, a stolen base and four RBI as a hitter.
