Evan Shaw, Fridley. The senior was on the winning end of a pitchers' duel on April 26, as Fridley and Columbia Heights remained scoreless through seven innings. The Tigers' bats came alive in the eighth, and they scored five times for the 5-0 win. Shaw ended the game with 7 1/3 innings pitched, allowing three hits and recording 18 strikeouts. Two days earlier, Shaw led the Tigers offense in a 9-3 win against Concordia Academy, as he went 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs scored and five RBI.
Henry Norby, St. Paul Highland Park. The senior had a solid first outing of the season on the mound, as he pitched all seven innings of a 3-1 win against St. Croix Lutheran on April 25. Norby allowed one unearned run on three hits and struck out nine batters.

Timmy Smith, South St. Paul. The senior produced both on the mound and at the plate in a 5-0 win over Simley on April 26. Smith pitched seven scoreless innings, gave up two hits and recorded eight strikeouts. As a batter, Smith went 1-for-3 and tallied two RBI.
Tyler Steimer, Rosemount. The junior produced all of Rosemount's offense against Eagan to lead the Irish to a 5-0 win on April 26. Steimer went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run to drive in the five runs — his first RBIs of the season.
Brian Williams, Cretin-Derham Hall. In a 5-4 win over East Ridge on April 23, the senior went 2-for-4, finishing with a single, a double and three RBI. Williams also gave up a hit and tallied one strikeout while pitching one scoreless inning in the win.
