Pedersen didn't pitch in the Duluth Marshall's season opener -- a 21-0 romping of Class 2A, Section 7 runner-up Aitkin on April 11. However, he contributed in the five-inning rout with an RBI triple.

The 6-foot-5 right-handed hurler took some time to talk with the MN Baseball Hub about the upcoming season.

MN Baseball Hub: What are your expectations this season after helping Duluth Marshall make its first state tournament appearance?

BP: Our whole team wants to be in the state tournament again, but we all know that we have a lot of work to do in order to make it back there this year.
