Pipestone Area vs.

Jackson County Central (Doubleheader)

Noon, Saturday, April 21

Rescheduled for May 1

Pipestone is one of the few teams across the state to actually get a game in this season.

Playing at Augustana University last Thursday, Pipestone (2-0) beat smaller Class 1A foes Edgerton and defending Camden Conference champion Canby by a combined total of 33-1.

Seth Tollefson collected six hits and seven RBI between the two games, but the level of competition is going to step up a couple notches this week, especially on Saturday when Pipestone visits Jackson County Central.

The Arrows fell to the Huskies three times last season: a 9-2 loss in Class 2A, Section 3 play and two one-run games (6-5; 5-4) in Big South Conference play.

The regular-season sweep helped Jackson County Central finish as league champion, but repeating the feat may not be easy. The Huskies don't have any players who saw action in last year's matchups against the Arrows returning to the lineup.
