Canby at Minneota
4:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 16

The Battle for Highway 68 gets an added boost this season, as Canby and Minneota collide to decide the Camden Conference champion and likely propel the winners toward the top seed of the northern subsection in Class 1A, Section 3.

Minneota (11-2, 8-0) has four games remaining on its schedule and has already tied its highest win total since 2010. The No. 16-1A Vikings have shown they can succeed in every situation, winning by 10 runs or more four times and performing in the clutch with four one-run victories. They will need that sort of resilience against a team that has beaten them in eight of their last 10 meetings.

The Lancers (11-1, 8-0) haven't had to worry about close games nearly as much. After its 5-1 season-opening loss to Pipestone on April 4, No. 10-1A Canby has rattled off 11 straight wins, including four 10-run-rule wins. It has the third highest run differential in Class 1A at 6.9.
