Alexandria at St. Cloud Tech (doubleheader)
4 and 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 9

Tuesday's doubleheader features the top two teams in the Central Lakes Conference and a sweep could give one the inside track to the league title.

Few programs have been rolling like St. Cloud Tech (9-0-1, 5-0-1), which sits atop the league standings. The Tigers average 9.3 runs scored per game -- second in Class 3A -- while allowing less than one run and have blown out nearly every opponent this season. The only team to lose to Tech by less than seven runs is Rocori, which was edged by the Tigers 4-2 in the their first meeting of year in early April.

Before its 3-2 victory over the Spartans on May 4, No. 2-3A St. Cloud Tech had tallied at least 10 hits in six straight games while pitchers Logan Aleshire, Trevor Koenig and Thomas Friesen allowed zero earned runs.

Despite a 6-1 loss to Rocori last week, Alexandria (9-2, 6-2) is hot on the Tigers' tails in the conference standings, and the No. 5-3A Cardinals boast an offense that has scored 10 runs or more in six games.
