Forest Lake at Stillwater
4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 10

Stillwater's Will Frisch shut down Forest Lake in April, and the Rangers were not the only team to struggle against the Ponies' rotation this season. Before a 8-6 loss to Eau Claire North on May 6, Stillwater (10-3, 8-2) hadn't allowed more than two runs in a game.

Frisch boasts spectacular stats (4-0 record, 0.70 ERA), representing just a piece of the pitching corps' 0.95 ERA -- a number that is even more impressive considering the staff lost its No. 1 starter, Thomas Brushu, to a broken leg in the first game of the season.

The Rangers (10-3, 8-2) rotation has the ability to battle pitch for pitch with Stillwater. Luke Wallner, Cam Kline and Jake Wensmann lead the group, posting five shutouts and just one game with more than three runs allowed this season.

Forest Lake's advantage may be on offense, where the Rangers have been a bit more explosive and average 6.62 runs per game compared to the Ponies' 5.54.
