Minneapolis Washburn at Osseo
Noon, Saturday, May 6

Minneapolis Washburn (7-0, 4-0) has been smacking the ball to open the season, outscoring its opponents 57-10, en route to a perfect start. Michael Thomas boasts a .444 batting average and 1.282 OPS.

However, the Millers' schedule hasn't been particularly difficult, as they have faced just one other Class 4A school, Minneapolis Southwest, and the combined win-loss record of their opponents has been 13-30. They'll be tested against some strong competition this week.

Osseo, ranked No. 11 in Class 4A, will defend its home field with a very strong pitching staff. The Orioles (7-2, 5-2), led by southpaw twins John and Matt Bezdicek, have not allowed more than four runs in any game this season.
