New Ulm at Worthington
5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 25

New Ulm has carved its way through its first six opponents. The No. 2-3A Eagles qualified for the state tournament in 2016 and are looking even better this season. Much of that improvement is due to their stellar offense. New Ulm (6-0, 4-0) has scored at least six runs in every game this season, after pulling off that feat just seven times in 2016.

J.T. Hoffmann has caught fire from the plate in recent games. After going hitless in his first three games, the senior is 7-for-10 in his last three, which were against Marshall on April 13, and Waseca and Faribault last week.

Big South Conference foe Worthington (6-2, 3-2) will try to make a mark on the Eagles' pristine start and they have the offensive firepower to keep up. Led by cleanup-hitter Easton Sauerbrei, the No. 19-3A Trojans are averaging 7.87 runs per game.
