Waconia (6-0, 2-0) has ripped through its opponents this season. The No. 7-3A ranked Wildcats are tied for having the best record in Class 3A with New Ulm.

The Wildcats have outscored challengers by 31 runs, and allowed just four runs over their past three games. Jake Hendricks is leading the charge, going 7-for-11 with three runs and two RBI over that stretch.

Holy Family Catholic (4-2, 2-2) is going to have to prove its blazing 4-0 start wasn't just a hot flash. During an eventual 9-7 loss to Hutchinson on April 20, the Fire allowed seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to counter Michael Jensen's four RBI.
