Southwest Christian at New Life Academy
4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25

New Life Academy (7-1, 4-0) hasn't lost since a 9-2 defeat against Minnehaha Academy in the season-opener. The No. 3-2A Eagles have overwhelmed teams with their offensive firepower ever since.

Leodoff-hitter Henry George had nine hits in games against Columbia Heights (8-4 win), Trinity (8-3 win) and PACT (8-1 win) last week. In each of those contests, the Eagles tallied at least nine hits and six walks. Since the loss to Minnehaha Academy, New Life Academy outscored its opponents by a combined 46 runs, including a 26-3 romp of Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity on April 6.

Southwest Christian will try to hold the Eagles down with its strong pitching staff. The Stars (5-2, 4-0) have held opponents to under three runs in six of seven games.

Much of that is due to David Solfelt and Graham Burke. The pair has struck out a combined 53 batters in 33 innings with a combined 1.91 earned run average. Solfelt will toe the rubber against New Life Academy.
