Burnsville at Eastview

Burnsville brings the top prospect in Minnesota to this combined South Suburban Conference battle and rematch of the Class 4A, Section 3 finals against Eastview.  

University of Florida commit Sam Carlson blanked the Lightning 1-0 in last year's section-clinching contests. Carlson will be looking for a repeat performance from the mound and with support from the plate from a strong lineup that includes captains Dan Sandvig, Max Hanson and Ryan Brunner. 

Eastview boasts a D-I recruit of its own in Danny Kapala. The future Gopher was the losing pitcher in last year's 1-0 duel and will be looking to reverse the result in 2017. Kapala could help his cause on both sides of the ball if he can replicate his .548 on-base percentage from last season.
