Rocori at St. Cloud Tech

Rocori and St. Cloud tech, 2016's top finishers in the Central Lakes Conference, will once again be facing off for pole position in the league to begin their seasons. 

The Spartans took home the conference title last season, despite losing the opening game of the season 10-8 to the Tigers. 

Rocori also made it to the state tournament last season after advancing from Class 3A, Section 5, which involved two victories over St. Cloud Tech. The Spartans bring back senior shortstop Jordan Barth (.417 BA) and junior infielder Nick Penick (.351 BA) to lead the team. 

The Tigers (1-0) will be looking to improve upon their end results this season, and pieces like Logan Aleshire could play a major role. Aleshire was part of an offense that scored 151 runs in 2016 and if St. Cloud Tech is going to win the conference or advance out of the section tournament, a potent offense could be vital.
