Little Falls at St. Cloud Cathedral
5:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11

St. Cloud Cathedral had won three consecutive Granite Ridge Conference titles going into 2016, but fell to third last season behind Foley and Little Falls. Tuesday's tilt could give the winner a significant edge in the league standings for two teams that will feel like the conference championship is up for grabs.

A.J. Jenks and Austin Weisz will look to bring last year's .320-plus batting averages into the new season to compliment a revamped pitching rotation for the Flyers. Little Falls (1-0, 1-0) posted a team ERA of 1.89 last season, but just one of their pitchers, Mitch Boros (1.59 ERA in 48.1 innings), returns with more than eight innings of experience.

Will Kranz went 3-for-4 with three runs batted in the Crusaders 5-0 win over Becker last Thursday. Ace pitcher Rudy Sauerer recorded six strikeouts in four innings for St. Cloud Cathedral (1-0, 1-0).
