Aitkin at Duluth Marshall

Aitkin is coming off a 22-4 season and a trip to the Class 2A, Section 7 finals, and the Gobblers seem in good position to turn in another solid season. They return eight starters from last year, including Caleb Curtiss, who has a no-hitter on his resume. 

After downing Ogilvie 14-1 to start the 2017 campaign, Aitkin (1-0, 1-0) will attempt to pull off a repeat performance against last year's section semifinal opponent, Duluth Marshall. 

The Hilltoppers caught the short end of a eight-inning 3-1 playoff outcome against Aitkin last year and will be eager for a chance at revenge. 

Ben Pedersen returns for Duluth Marshall (2-0) after putting up a .429 BA during last year's regular season, as does Derrick Winn, who had 25 hits in a 20 game span.
