Benilde-St. Margaret's at Totino-Grace
1 p.m., Saturday, Apr. 8

Last season, Benilde-St. Margaret's made its first state tournament appearance since 2005 and finished fourth in Class 3A. This year, the Red Knights hope to improve behind the performance of three stellar seniors.

Derek Drees (.403 BA, .907 OPS in 2016) Matt Brooks (.433 BA, .959 OPS) and Alex Houlihan (.302 BA, .759 OPS) lead a squad that lost seven seniors from last season. The trio is likely to make up the team's pitching rotation, too.

Totino-Grace had its season cut short in the section Class 4A, Section 5 final last season, losing to state runner-up Champlin Park. The Eagles bring back 11 seniors, including infielder Kyle Halverson, that will be looking to repeat their 4-3 victory over the Red Knights to in the opening game of 2016.
