Anoka will look to upend Northwest Suburban Conference front-runner, No. 18-4A Robbinsdale Armstrong, in its home opener Tuesday.

The Tornadoes (1-1, 1-1) split games last week, defeating Coon Rapids 5-3 April 12 and falling to No. 14-4A Centennial 8-3 on April. 14.

Golden Gophers commit Alex Farley pitched six innings, gave up one earned run and struck out 10 batters against the Cardinals, while Tanner Fry hit his first varsity home run for No. 8-4A Anoka.

The Falcons (4-1, 3-0) are riding a three-game winning streak following an 8-1 romping of Robbinsdale Cooper last Saturday. Armstrong also defeated No. 14-4A Centennial 3-2 on April 12.

The Tornadoes fell 5-4 to Armstrong last year in the regular season. Both teams are looking to return to the state tournament, as Anoka made its first appearance in 10 years, and the Falcons finished third.
