Holy Family Catholic (2-1) played near-perfect baseball last week by shutting out Le Sueur-Henderson 6-0 and No. 10-2A Providence Academy 10-0. The Fire (2-1) opens their Wright County Conference schedule against defending league champion No. 13-3A Hutchinson on Thursday.

Senior Eric Requet was 4-for-4 last week and scored four runs for No. 3-2A Holy Family Catholic. Oklahoma commit Michael Jensen pitched five innings against the Lions, giving up three hits and striking out eight batters.

The 6-foot-5 right hander took a 6-1 loss to the Tigers last year, but the Fire won the earlier meeting 8-6.

Hutchinson (3-1) tallied an eight-run inning against Willmar that resulted in a 15-4 win for the Tigers last week.

Senior shortstop Matt Piechowski hit 4-for-5 and totaled five RBI, while fellow senior Noah Corrow went 4-for-5 and scored three runs.
