Prior Lake at Burnsville
4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 21

Prior Lake picked up an 11-inning, 2-1 upset over South Suburban rival No. 1-4A Lakeville North last week. The No. 7-4A Lakers remain perfect in league play, allowing just three runs in 24 innings, largely due to a 12-man senior class and the return of its entire pitching staff.

Burnsville (3-0) won all three of its games last week, including a 4-0 shutout of defending South Suburban champion Shakopee in the season opener April 12.

The Blaze defeated Prior Lake twice in the regular season and once in the Class 3A, Section 3 playoffs last season, with each win decided by a single run. The playoff victory was won in dramatic fashion as the Lakers committed two errors with the bases loaded to give up a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning.
