Brainerd at Rocori
5 p.m., Friday, May 8

No. 19-3A Brainerd (5-3, 4-1) and Rocori (7-1, 4-1) are tied atop the Central Lakes Conference, with four wins in five conference games through early May. But the Warriors hold the head-to-head edge with a 7-3 victory over the Spartans in Brainerd on April 16.

Brainerd trailed 3-0 before scoring six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, powered by a two-run single from Tristan Brecht and a two-run double from Taylor Streiff. Both Streiff and Jake Meyer finished with two hits, while Meyer pitched four innings to earn his first varsity victory.

Cole Field was 1-for-3 with two RBI for Rocori. That loss was the only blemish on the season for the Spartans, who have since won six straight games while allowing one or fewer runs in four of them.
