Blake at Minnehaha Academy
4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 6

No. 5-2A Minnehaha Academy (12-1, 6-0) has a chance to put even more distance between itself and the rest of the Independent Metro Athletic Conference on Wednesday night when the Redhawks host No. 10-2A Blake (10-2, 3-1), their closest challenger.

Minnehaha Academy has lost just once (7-2 at No.1-2A St. Cloud Cathedral in early April) and has already defeated Blake 5-1 on April 22. In that game, junior Alex Fedje-Johnson made his first varsity start a great one, giving up two hits and recording 12 strikeouts in seven innings. Thomas Shogren had two RBI.

The loss certainly has propelled the Bears. Blake hasn’t lost since that game, winning five straight, including four by mercy rule. In those five games, the Bears have outscored their opposition 58-4.
