Glencoe-Silver Lake at Holy Family Catholic
4:30 p.m., Monday, April 27

The top of the Wright County Conference should be quite competitive as May begins. Five teams are within a game and a half of league leader Delano - including Glencoe-Silver Lake and Holy Family Catholic. The teams meet Monday in Victoria having won back-to-back games to get to five wins on the season.

No. 7-2A Glencoe-Silver Lake (5-2, 4-1) defeated Rockford and Mound-Westonka in the past week, but in two very different games. The Panthers slugged past Rockford 9-6, but won a pitcher’s duel against Mound-Westonka 2-1. Tanner Grack scattered six White Hawks’ hits for the victory.

No. 20-2A Holy Family Catholic (5-3, 3-2) edged both Orono and Kasson-Mantorville in the past five days to keep pace. Michael Jensen and Noah Hollen are anchoring the Fire’s pitching staff. Jensen is 2-0 with 25 strikeouts in 19 innings, while Hollen is 2-0 and has allowed only one run in 13 innings.
