St. Anthony Village at Minnehaha Academy
7 p.m., Thursday, April 30

Two of the better programs in Class 2A, Section 4 look to stake their claim to a high seed in the playoffs when traditional power St. Anthony Village travels to Minnehaha Academy.

St. Anthony Village (3-4) finds itself in an unusual position, as the Huskies are under .500 and have been shut out in two straight games. The Huskies did graduate a huge senior class that won 21 games last spring, including all-state pitcher Zach Siggelkow. Veteran Bennett Wiggins leads the way with a .435 batting average and six RBI.

Minnehaha Academy’s only loss this season was at No.1-2A St. Cloud Cathedral on April 17. Since that game, the No. 5-2A Redhawks (9-1) have won four consecutive and only allowed four runs. Junior Alex Fedje-Johnson tossed a complete-game two-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a 5-1 win at Blake on April 22.
